Every day a new piece of magic - so unexpected, so enjoyable and so Italian! I now understand the difference between being a tourist or being a traveller. Thank you for giving this joyful traveller the best holiday experience of my life. Can't wait to join you again in 2007.

7 Days in a Villa in Tuscany
May 16 – 22, 2009
Sep 5 – 11, 2009

E2717 (AUD$4750) per person

To live in a villa is a completely different experience from staying in a hotel.
These 7 days will be a most unique experience - designed for guests to enjoy a ‘real’ experience of traditional Tuscan life, complemented by excursions to Tuscan villages such as Sienna, San Gimignano and Barberino Val d’Elsa.

We will be based in a beautiful 4 star C18th villa on a hilltop with an amazing Tuscan panorama of vineyards, olive groves and wide vistas that include the skyline towers of San Gimignano and surrounding villages. Only a few kilometres from the local village the villa accommodation offers a beautiful terrazzo for alfresco dining, a magnificent swimming pool, a large dining room and a wonderful kitchen and large bedrooms with private bathrooms furnished in Tuscan style.

‘At home’ in the villa you can enjoy breakfast on the terrazzo and prepare your own delightful antipasti, cheese and prosciutto. Savouring a glass of wine you can relax by the pool while special dinners are cooked and served in your own dining room by our local Tuscan cook, Mamma Patrizia.

You also have the opportunity of trying the numerous small family restaurants in the village when you wish.

Special inclusions:

  • a cooking class with two Tuscan chefs who will show you how to cook local Tuscan dishes followed by a delicious dinner filled with your creations – plus you get to take home the recipes.
  • a very special wine tasting at the Castello di Tavolese followed by a delicious lunch prepared by Tuscan chef, Mamma Maria, wines from their own vineyard and a tour of their historic castle.

During your stay at the Villa there are many other options: - you can visit the many ceramic workshops in the area, visit the local vineyards, enjoy the local markets, or visit the pretty villages close by. If you have that ‘shop till I drop’ feeling for all those wonderful designer Italian goods you can make a quick trip into Florence by train (approx 45 mins).

Tuscany is not just a destination; it is a unique experience of Italian life.
